Malmo overview

Malmo is one of the southern-most towns on mainland Sweden and the third largest cosmopolitan community in the nation. Like the Turning Torso building that dominates the city’s skyline, Malmo may dazzle many tourists with its unique fa?ade and swirling mix of atypical cultures. However, with industrial remnants of the past still prevalent throughout the township, some people feel that Malmo still requires a few more years to further develop its tourism sector. Nevertheless, credit must be given where credit is due. Malmo, up until 15 years ago, was no more than a post-industrial-aged city teetering helplessly on the edge of the modern era. Today, Malmo is growing in stature as an economic, commercial and even tourist hearth for the southern region of Sweden, which can largely be blamed on the construction of the Oresmund Bridge and the growth of Malmo University.
